month: June 2008

I am on my way to get Lasik! YAY…but I wanted to post a few images. I have been so busy lately with shoots. Here are a few and I apolgize if they are out of order. I need to leave in three minutes!
Jill and Lance…fabulous evening, fabulous couple! I am excited about their wedding. They are actually really good friends of Jim and Nicole whose wedding I shot on April 26th. In fact that’s where I met them.

!

some bpics…I have had about 8 bpic shoots in the last two weeks. Here are some that I had permissionto post. I have been trying to get a little more “artsy” and have been doing a little experimenting.

I have been super busy lately and not seen my family in days…well partly because they were at the inlaws. So I had two meetings today and met my family for lunch. All I heard about was how “Aunt Cissy got another cute puppy (they have a teacup yorkie and 2 teacup pommeranians) and how it’s not fair that we don’t have a dog” and blah, blah, blah. After lunch somehow my 8 year old cons me into going to Petco “just to look around”…am I a sucker or what??!! I should have seen it coming!
Meet the newest addition to our family. We adopted her today (I am a big believer in rescuing strays and unwanted animals) We don’t have a name picked out yet, but she sure is a cutie!

somone is SUPER jealous

ok so most of you know I do a fun little highlight slideshow for my clients just for fun and a way to say “thanks” for letting me be a part of your day. It’s also a great way for prospective clients to get a super good idea of my work…wellllllllllllllllll… today Phanfare changed its format and I no longer have a “site” there. I have to “invite” people to view each individual album separately!! grrrrrrr So I have fixed some of the major links at the top in my portfolio section (I know, I know… I still need to load the real flash slideshows into the thumbnail images but we all saw what happened last time I tried to work on my site…ha ha) I will work on getting the correct links in the old slideshows on the old blog but it’s going to take a looooooooooooong time. I bet I have like 35 slideshows on there and I have to go into each album one at a time to get the link to make it public….like I have nothing freakin better to do…ha ha so…just wanted to get the word out as to why your link may not be working yet! I am sooo sorry!!

I get emails like this..

It just makes my day… Thanks girls :)

ok this post turned out to be quite the drama maker and honestly, my life has more than enough drama already…so….it’s gone. period. end of discussion.

As my avid readers know, Sheri is my most favorite blog stalker…I could have other secret blog stalkers I don’t know about…but Sheri, as far as I know, wins the prize for the most hits on the blog. These two were married back in April and not only did it rain…it freezing rained…so Sheri was obviously up for a reshoot. I guess you’d call it a newlywed shoot. It was a lot of fun. For a second I was worried mother nature (who apparently has it out for me this year) was going to try to rain on our parade…right before I left my house it was hailing and lightening…but then everything cleared out and we had beautimous weather. I love newlywed shoots because you don’t have to worry about the dress getting dirty. I am kinda sad because now I won’t have anything to post about on Sheri…unless they decide to work on havin’ a baby…get busy you ttwo… HA HA JUST KIDDING!! Here are a few of my favs!

I love this next series

This is them after all the spinning and Mike about ready to pass out (he hates it when I have them do “crazy” stuff…ha ha)

Every year at this time I go through hair drama needing something different. I just can’t decide what to do with it this time. SO I thought I’d share some different hair phases of my life. Some of these are pretty funny. Please excuse the poor scanned quality (these are all predigital days)

ok obviously this is the 80’s..and EVERYONE had big hair (i’m in the middle bottom) Probably a JR in highschool here…gotta love the 80’s right? I can’t believe it was 18 years ago since this picture was taken…Yikes I guess I am getting old. :(

sorority hair phase

the “new mom…don’t have time” curly hair phase

the “oMG I’m 30 so I need to be blond now” phase

and I am sure I have a recent one but I currently have pics all over the place and can’t find one. There is one here though

**on a side note, after looking at these I have noticed a pattern of my eyebrows getting progressively thinner. At this rate 10 years from now I may not have any at all if I am not careful. hee hee***

ok so those of you who know me know how anal I am when it comes to my work. I always see the bride and groom (or at least the bride) at least 3 times before the wedding…at the initial consult, final consult, rehearsal, and then most of the time I take the engagement photos as well. Kristen booked about 18 months ago after seeing some photos I did for a friend of hers. Our schedules were so weird that we could never find a time to meet. So literally the first time I met Kristen was on her wedding day. I was so nervous on the way there…like it was my first wedding or something…because I never really got to talk to her…just a couple emails…I had no idea what style she liked, what she looked like, no shot list (for the family) NOTHING…which is TOTALLY not like me. SOOOO anyway boy did I luck out. Kristen and Dan and all their friends were all so cute, fun, bubbly, you name it. The day was SOOO laid back…I mean no stress…beautiful weather..it was just overall such an awesome day. I have so many favorites from the day, but because you know how easily I mess my site up…I’m only gonna post a few and then if you like what you see you can watch the highlight slideshow
I finally got to use my new favorite Jason Mraz song! yay!

This is Kristen and Dan “being themselves”…ha ha

I just wanted to say thanks to all that emailed when I screwed up my site. I appreciate the offers of help, and I may just take you up on that in the future. Much to my surprise it costs $75 for help with the people I purchased my site from for “troubleshooting”…hmmm… wish I would have known that before I forked over all that cash to them. Oh well, by the # of emails I got it looks as though I’ll get help the next time I need it! Thanks again!

so I go to try to do one simple thing…and look what I did…ha ha looks nice, huh? Well the good news is I got rid of the ugly blue border around my pictures (I am trying to look at the bright side)
so you’ll have to fogrive the layout for a day or so until Vera, the website girl, can come to my rescue! :( derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
***update*** it’s been fixed :)
